Conversion and redevelopment of the historic Royal Loan Office in Berlin’s Mitte district.

The property at Linienstrasse 98 / Torstrasse 164 in Berlin-Mitte was historically used as royal loan office for storing pledged goods. Consistently merging two floors each that were formerly used as storage space, we created generous loft areas with a floor-to-ceiling height of nearly five metres. Taking regulations for the protection of ancient monuments into account and preserving the visibility of the historic material created unique rental areas, which we were able to let well ahead of completion.
